Our Advocacy Agenda

In an effort to meet the needs of The Network's membership, an advocacy agenda is created by its members every year. The Network's members participate in differing committees to reach the agenda goals set out by the full membership. During Fiscal Year 2011, The Network has three areas of focus-Legal Issues, Domestic Violence Funding and Community Engagement.

The goals identified for this year's Advocacy Agenda are:

Legal Issues
Engaging in the development and implementation of the new Domestic Violence Division of the Cook County Court System.

Domestic Violence Funding
Convening funders to discuss current realities in the domestic violence service community and funding opportunities.

Community Engagement
Researching models for developing community engagement and capacity building.
